AIRFLASH + IANUS: an air cannon that count for two
An easy, smart and competitive solution to duplicate the activation point of a singleg AIRFLASH® compressed air cannon
- With a single cannon, two activation exit
- Fully pneumatic activation of IANUS without changing the cannon connections to the control unit
- For equipping medium and large silos
IANUS, a shock wave deflector valve coupled directly to the AIRFLASH cannon, allows the shock wave to be deflected along two different outflow routes, thus allowing two activation points to be enslaved with a single cannon.
All this without modifying the electropneumatic connections of the compressed air cannon.
IANUS in combination with AIRFLASH makes it possible to create medium and large cannon plants, limiting the initial investment costs and optimizing the palnt connections.
Note: IANUS is specific for application in areas at room temperature (Tmax 60 ° C).
IANUS is also excellent in revamping: without modifying the cannon supply connections, it is sufficient to insert IANUS at the cannon exhaust to obtain from the same cannon 2 distinct activation points. The cannon can be easily repositioned while from IANUS will start directly the connection for the positioning of the activaion points according to specific needs.
Why install an AIRFLASH compressed air cannon plant?
The cleaning and good fluidization of the silos is essential for
- guarantee the continuity of the production cycle avoiding plant shutdowns
- maximize storage efficiency by avoiding the formation of encrustations and compaction of material (example: bridges, rat holes)
- avoid aging and deterioration of material (dead zones) by favoring the regular exchange of the contents of the silo

The Reasion Behind IANUS name
Janus (Latin: IANUS) is the god of beginnings, material and immaterial, and is one of the oldest and most important divinities of the Roman, Latin and Italic religion.
Usually depicted with two faces (the so-called Two-faced Janus), Ianus is a symbol of the entrance and exit, guardian of the doors (ianua, door) and of the thresholds of ancient Rome. In times of war, the doors of the temple of Ianus were always open, they remained closed only in rare times of peace.
Ianus is also a symbol of Prudence, the bifrontality that characterizes it is in fact an expression of the knowledge of the past and the future. As guardian of "the beginning and the end" he was depicted with two faces, one facing forward and one backward.
The root of Ianus is also found in Ianuarius (January), the first month of the year, a good omen for a new beginning.
